sebastian geret was born 1976 in berlin germany and came to switzerland 1989 after highschool and an audio engineering school he started to work as a sound and video engineer at the theater basel 1996 during the 10 years working there his interest and focus shifted more towards making imagery and he discovered the steadicam about 2001 he bought an old rig and took his first steadicam workshop in paris 2005 with garrett brown and jerry holway and another one in L.A. 2007 with harry garvin, will arnot, david luckenbach, david emmerichs and andrew rolands. 2009 he took a segway handsfree and steadicam workshop with chris fawcett in london and he never stopped exploring and learning since
